Nakamichi BX-300 Cassette Deck Up for auction is this Nakamichi BX-300 Discrete 3-Head, 3-Motor Cassette Deck in very good operating and cosmetic condition. I am the original owner and it includes the original Owner’s Manual. Specifications and features of this very smooth and very quiet cassette deck are as follows: Black brushed aluminum face, 3 discrete heads (three dedicated heads—one for record, one for erase and one for play. By comparison, two-head decks use same head for record and play—changing the function with a micro-switch), 3 Motors: one which serves the SG Servo brushless, slot-less, coreless Direct-Drive motor (capstan drive), one which serves the DC Motor (reel drive), and one which serves the DC Motor (cam drive), Built-in Tape Monitor (allows running your source material through you stereo system), Bias Adjustment Control (tape-to-head clearance can be maintained with this control depending on tape type), Tape Speed: 1 7/8 ips, Master Fade: (permits smooth easy fades during recordings, with selectable two second or six second fade), Auto Repeat, Timer Recording, Input Control, Output Control, 4 Digit Digital Counter Tape Selector Switch (normal, chrome or metal bias tape), Eq Switch (different tape bias requires a different Eq setting.
