No reserve. People often claim on eBay to have something unusual, but this really is. It is an immaculate, boxed and fully working Sony EL7 Elcaset deck in superb cosmetic condition and with no discernible wear to the heads or any other part of the mechanism. The Elcaset was Sony’s answer to those people who wanted the convenience of cassettes but with the dynamic range and low wow and flutter of 3¾ ips tape speed with ¼ inch tape. The EL7 was a flagship machine with three heads, permitting off-tape monitoring, and allowing record and playback heads to be properly optimised. It has dual capstan drive for the best wow and flutter and Dolby noise reduction. It is, of course, a 4 track, stereo system and it is a multi-voltage unit. The performance figures are astounding. Signal to noise ratio without Dolby and FeCr tape is 62dB. With Dolby it is 67dB at 1kHz and 72dB above 5kHz. Wow and flutter is 0.04% WRMS (NAB). It sounds magnificent. And all this is in a unit that is only 46x17x32cms in size. This unit is complete with the instruction book AND the Service Manual.
